Flick (Felicity Thompson)

Artist's Statement: Felicity Fair Thompson (née Kinmont) is an award-winning author and filmmaker, currently living on the Isle of Wight, UK. When I painted her portrait, she was a teenage schoolgirl living with her mother Joan Kinmont in Mosman, Sydney. I visited them regularly when I was boarding at the YWCA and studying at the Julian Ashton Art School. Joan, my father’ first cousin, was also a published author.
