Hot day, ocean pool

Fishery Bay is a beach on the Lower Eyre Peninsula and is one of the many scenes I painted when on summer holidays with the family in Port Lincoln. To capture the full blast of the heat, I eliminated the sky in the composition, concentrating on the hot colours of the cliff and the sparkling pool of warm water. I painted rapidly under the blazing sun oblivious to the temperature.
