The study includes Susan Dorothea White's The First Supper (1988) among sixteen works analysed for the depiction of equidistant intervals in visual space. The author concludes that many accomplished artists, from Leonardo da Vinci to the present, represented equidistant intervals in visual rather than physical space, and that these works nevertheless achieve highly convincing and natural pictorial space.
