Centenarian Sunset is inspired by my mother who lived to 102. Her face and hands are enshrined in pink sunset clouds. Although suffering blindness, dementia and breast cancer she kept her feisty spirit, expressed in her eyes while talking. The needle, thread and vintage reel represent her sewing and mending.
