In this large outdoor version, the hands are three-times natural size. The idiom 'stretching the imagination' is expressed through life-like hands literally stretching a face to create elongated hollows in the eye sockets and cheeks and a wide smiling mouth. The spaces allow the sculpture to merge with the surroundings and the views through them give a feeling of unrestricted imagination. The sculpture is rounded and tactile and its broad low stature allows interaction with the entire surface.
