GM Bean Bud, no. 1

The form is derived from the spiral shape of the snail flower bud (Cochliasanthus caracalla). The irregular shape is most unusual compared to the symmetrical form of other flowers. This gave me the idea for a sculpture representing the permanent effect of altering nature through genetic manipulation.
